Welcome to the Neighbourhood Interfaith Group website blog!

Thank you for visiting our website

The Neighbourhood Interfaith Group, as a north Toronto interfaith group of 14 congregations and institutions, has developed this website to reach out to the community and to send our message of embracing the similarities among different faiths and of encouraging respect for each faith.

Appreciation for website design

This website was conceived by a team of people, working with our website developer, Roozbeh Rokni of Rokni.ca. We thank the people who have developed the website. We are also very appreciative of Roozbeh’s skills and excellent work. This whole project has been very straight forward due to his enthusiasm, skill, professionalism and his cordial and friendly way of moving the job forward.

Annual guest speaker event, Thursday, May 2, 2013 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church

You are cordially invited to our annual guest speaker and dialogue event. Our guest speaker is Mr. Avrum Rosensweig, President of Ve’ahavta, a Jewish community based charity that works in the greater community and has interfaith partners. His topic is “Tikun Olam – Repairing the World Without Borders”

The venue for this year’s event is Holy Rosary Catholic Church is located at 354 St. Clair Avenue West. It is on the north side of the street at Walmer Road (between Bathurst and Spadina Road). We very much appreciate the kind hospitality of Holy Rosary and the help of Farther Jim Stenberg and the parish team.

The reception (vegetarian and Kashrut observed) that will follow the event will feature dialogue, delicious desserts as well as well as a wonderful light buffet of sandwiches and other non-sweet items.

Last year the speaker, Rabbi Dove Murmur, Rabbi Emeritus of Holy Blossom Temple, was excellent and the discussion and dialogue following was excellent.
